WAITLIST
Our waitlist is currently closed. If you would like an update on your waitlist status, please email bneville@edwardjost.ca
How does the waitlist work?
Children stay on the waitlist until they’re offered a space, confirm they have alternate care and no longer require a space at EJCC or turn 5 years old. We offer spaces on a first-come, first-served basis, based on the original contact date. We work through the list until all spaces are filled.

When do spaces usually open up in each classroom?
Most transitions occur around September/October. As Preschoolers head to school, Toddlers move into Preschool spaces, and Infants move into Toddler spaces—opening up new spots across age groups. Fewer children are leaving in June due to limited school-age care options, so Fall has become our primary transition period.
How many spaces are available for each age group every Fall?
The number of available spaces for each age group varies from year to year. It depends on the transitions of children already enrolled—such as those moving up to the next age group or leaving the program. Once those transitions are complete, we’re able to determine exactly how many openings we have for families on the waitlist. Typically, availability is limited. In recent years, there have only been a small number of openings in the Toddler or Preschool age groups.

When are classrooms typically full?
After Fall placements, classrooms usually remain full until the next major transition period the following year, unless a family withdraws due to moving or other personal circumstances.
